Private time

এই কনটেন্ট এখনো আপনার ভাষায় পাওয়া যায় না।

Private time pauses tracking on your computer for a personal call, an errand or a break.

  1. Click the Focus icon in the menu bar or system tray.
  2. Choose Private time. The icon turns grey and the menu shows since when private time is on.
  3. When you are back, choose Private time again.

Quitting or restarting the app does not end private time; turn it off in the menu. The item only appears while you are signed in and your company allows private time (it stays visible while private time is on, so you can always end it).

While private time is on, Focus reminds you every 15, 30 or 45 minutes (15 by default). Pick the interval under Remind me every in the menu. Click the reminder to switch tracking back on.

  • The desktop app does not store or send the apps, window titles, website addresses or keyboard and mouse activity of that time.
  • Only the start and end of the private period are sent, so the dashboard can show it as private instead of idle.
  • On the day timeline, a neutral Private band without details.
  • On the Team page, the status Private and since when, instead of the current app. The Team page is updated about every minute.
  • Private time is not counted as idle and not counted as work; it stays out of productivity numbers.

Private periods come from the desktop app and cannot be edited later in the dashboard.

Admins can turn private time off for the company, a team or a person with Allow private time in the settings. Then the menu item is hidden, and a private period that is still open ends.
