Desktop app 2.0 runs on 64-bit Windows 10 and Windows 11. It installs for your Windows user only and does not need administrator rights.
Install
Section titled “Install”- Open Downloads in the dashboard and choose Windows, or use the permanent link to the latest version:
Workify360Focus-latest-windows-x64-setup.exe.
The downloaded file carries the version in its name, for example
Workify360Focus-2.0.0-windows-x64-setup.exe. - Double-click the downloaded file.
- From version 2.0.4 the installer is code-signed by VERFAY YAZILIM VE TEKNOLOJI ANONIM SIRKETI, the company behind Workify360. While Windows is still getting to know the new certificate it may show Windows protected your PC (SmartScreen). Click More info, check that the publisher reads VERFAY YAZILIM VE TEKNOLOJI ANONIM SIRKETI, and then click Run anyway. If it shows Unknown publisher, do not run the file and download it again from the link above.
- Follow the installer. It takes a few seconds and starts Workify360 Focus when it is done.
The app is installed in your user folder and appears in the Start menu as Workify360 Focus.
Section titled “Sign in”The Focus icon appears in the system tray at the bottom right. If you do not see it, click the ^ arrow next to
the tray icons; you can drag the icon onto the taskbar to keep it visible. Click the icon, choose Sign in… and
sign in with your Workify360 account on the page that opens in your browser (auth.focus.workify360.com).
Start at login is on after the first start, so tracking starts when you sign in to Windows.
What works differently on Windows
Section titled “What works differently on Windows”- Website addresses on Windows: from desktop app 2.0.6, the app reads the address of the open page in Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi, Chromium, Arc and Firefox, if your company records website addresses (the Record website addresses setting, on by default). Windows asks for no permission for this. From desktop app 2.0.7, the app does not read addresses at all when the setting is off, and private windows it recognizes on Windows (Chrome and Brave incognito in every language, Edge InPrivate, Firefox private windows) are recorded as the browser app only, without the window title or the address. Desktop app 2.0.6 recognized private windows only by English words in the title and still recorded the title. Time in other browsers counts as time in that browser app. See what Focus records.
- Ignore mouse movement works on Windows: with the setting on, moving the mouse alone does not keep you active. The setting works on macOS and Windows, not on Linux.
Updates
Section titled “Updates”Desktop app 2.0 updates itself: it downloads a new version in the background and installs it when you choose Install update and restart (2.0.1) in the menu, or by itself once nobody has used the computer for 10 minutes. The installer runs without questions and starts Focus again. See update.
Uninstall
Section titled “Uninstall”Open Settings → Apps → Installed apps, find Workify360 Focus and choose Uninstall.
