Getting help in the dashboard
Dieser Inhalt ist noch nicht in deiner Sprache verfügbar.
Every page of the dashboard has its own help. You do not need to leave the page you are working on to read it.
Open the help panel
Section titled “Open the help panel”Click the question mark at the top of the dashboard, or press Shift+/ (the ? key) while you are not typing in a text field. The panel opens on the right; Esc closes it.
The panel has three parts:
- This page: the article about the page you are on. When there is none, it lists the articles about the page’s topic.
- Search: searches this help center, in the language of your dashboard.
- Getting started: your checklist (below).
At the bottom are links to the Help center, What’s new, System and my devices, Contact support and Open on website (the same article on the website). Was this article helpful? under an article lets you tell us whether it helped.
When the help center cannot be reached, the panel shows a saved copy of the help and says so.
Search
Section titled “Search”Type a few words about what you want to do or what went wrong, for example “invitation expired” or “late arrival”. The first results are the most relevant articles and sections; open one to read it in the panel. If the search cannot load, a link opens the search of the help center instead.
Getting started checklist
Section titled “Getting started checklist”Owners and admins see the steps that set up the organization: time zone and working hours, installing the desktop app, inviting the team, creating teams, productivity rules and the first data. Employees see verifying their e-mail address, installing the desktop app, signing in to it, what Focus records and private time.
A step is ticked when it is done in Focus, for example when the first computer has sent data. How? opens its article, Go opens the page where you do it. Hide list hides the checklist once you no longer need it. For owners and admins, the panel opens on its own once, at the first sign-in, while steps are still open.
Small question marks and error messages
Section titled “Small question marks and error messages”A small question mark next to a setting explains that setting in the panel. When the dashboard shows an error, a link under the message opens the article about it. An empty report links to no data in reports.
What’s new
Section titled “What’s new”What’s new lists the changes to the dashboard, the desktop app and the service, newest first. The same list is on the website’s changelog.
More help
Section titled “More help”- System and my devices shows whether the service and your computers are working.
- Contacting support explains how to send a support request.
