Each user belongs to at most one team. Teams decide what managers and team admins can see and let you give a group of people its own settings.
Create and manage teams
Section titled “Create and manage teams”Open Settings → Teams.
- Create team: enter a name and an optional description. Owners and admins create teams.
- Rename or Delete: only teams without members can be deleted.
- Click a team to open it.
Team admins and managers see the teams they belong to or can view.
Members
Section titled “Members”On the team page, click Add members, search by name or e-mail and select people. Someone who is already in another team moves to this team. Remove from team keeps the person in the company without a team.
You can also set a person’s team when you invite or edit them (users, roles and invitations).
Who sees a team
Section titled “Who sees a team”- Owners and admins see every team.
- Team admins and managers see their own team and their viewer teams; team admins also manage the employees and managers of their own team.
- Access follows each person’s current team, including past days.
Team settings
Section titled “Team settings”The Team settings section on the team page overrides the company settings for the team’s members: tracking hours and idle time (applied by the desktop app), privacy, working hours, private time, whether offline time needs approval, and more. Anything left on Inherit follows the company settings, and a single person’s own settings win over the team’s (company settings). The window title retention period is company-wide.
Productivity rules can also be set per team; they override the company rules for its members (productivity rules).
