The desktop app menu

Nội dung này hiện chưa có sẵn bằng ngôn ngữ của bạn.

Workify360 Focus runs in the macOS menu bar, the Windows system tray or the Linux tray. Click its icon to open the menu. This article describes the menu of desktop app 2.0 and later.

The menu is in Turkish when your system language is Turkish, and in English otherwise.

Outside the tracking hours the app sends nothing, and the menu says so. Your admin sets the hours in the company settings (company settings).

When your company’s plan includes projects (Pro and Premium) and your desktop app has the timer, the menu shows the project timer below the private time items. It is the same timer as the one at the top of the dashboard: start it in one place and stop it in the other.

  • The timer line shows the project, the task and the time so far, for example ”⏱ Website · Home page — 1:23”; the time is updated every minute. While the timer is stopped it reads Timer stopped.
  • Start timer ▸ lists your Recent projects and tasks first, then your projects, each with No task and its open tasks. Very long lists end with More projects… (open panel), which opens the dashboard. While the timer runs, the same list is under Switch ▸.
  • Stop timer stops it. Open timesheet opens your timesheet in the dashboard, and Refresh projects loads the list of projects again.

The timer keeps running when the computer is off and stops automatically after 24 hours. While the app is offline, your clicks are kept on the computer and the timer line ends with “(will sync)”; a timer you stopped while offline closes at the time you stopped it once the connection is back. The timer records no activity, and private time does not stop it. The details are in timer and timesheet.

If you do not see the timer items, your plan does not include projects, you are not signed in, or the app is older than the timer.

The icon turns grey while private time is on, and while nobody is signed in or the session has expired. In both cases nothing is sent to your company. The icon is in colour again once private time is off and you are signed in.

When you hover over the icon, its tooltip shows the same state, for example “private time” or “not signed in”.

Sign in… opens the Workify360 sign-in page in your browser. After you sign in there, the browser tells you to return to the app, and your name appears at the top of the menu. If you click Sign in… again while the page is still open, the same sign-in page opens again.

Sign out… first asks you to confirm, because the app does not send activity while it is signed out. Sign out before you give the computer to someone else.

Focus checks the session every 30 seconds. When the session has expired or was ended, the icon turns grey, the menu shows Session expired, and a notification says: “Your session has expired. Your records are waiting on this computer; sign in again from the menu.” Choose Sign in… and sign in again; what the app recorded meanwhile is sent afterwards (signing in and expired sessions). You get no notification when you signed out yourself. This notification is shown every time the session expires, because your records wait on the computer until you sign in again.

While private time is on, Focus reminds you at every multiple of the interval you picked: with 15 minutes, after 15, 30, 45 minutes and so on. The reminder says “Private time has been on for 30 minutes. Turn it off from the menu to resume tracking.” The count starts again the next time you turn private time on. The interval is 15 minutes unless you pick another one.

If your company turns private time off, an open private period ends and the item disappears from the menu.

The first time you start desktop app 2.0, Start at login is turned on, so Focus starts with your computer. If you turn it off, it stays off: the app never turns it back on by itself.

Notifications cannot be clicked on every system, so each warning also stays in the menu until the problem is gone. Choose it to open the matching help article. Some notifications also point there with “Details: menu ▸ Help”.

Quit Workify360 Focus sends what is still waiting for a moment, then stops every part of the app: nothing keeps running in the background. Anything that could not be sent in that moment stays on the computer and is sent the next time Focus starts. The same happens when you log out of the computer or shut it down, on Windows too.
