Find the version
Section titled “Find the version”In desktop app 2.0 and later, open the Focus menu and choose Help ▸ About Workify360 Focus. The window shows:
- the version, for example
2.0.0, and the build (a short commit id such as6c6022a), - the profile, which is
defaultunless support asked you to start the app with another one, - the copyright notice (© Profcode) and the open-source notice below,
- the address of the source code of this version (see below).
Support may ask for the version when you report a problem. It is also part of the diagnostics (report a problem).
Open-source components
Section titled “Open-source components”Workify360 Focus is built on open-source components of the ActivityWatch software:
| Component | What it does in Focus | License |
|---|---|---|
| aw-server-rust | The local server that stores activity on your computer | Mozilla Public License 2.0 |
| aw-tauri | The app frame and the menu bar or tray icon | Mozilla Public License 2.0 |
| awatcher | Window and idle detection on Linux | Mozilla Public License 2.0 |
The About window says the same: “This app is built on the ActivityWatch projects aw-server-rust, aw-tauri and awatcher. These components are licensed under the Mozilla Public License 2.0; their modified source code is available as described under Licences.” Its Licences button opens this article.
Workify360 changed some files of these components, for example to add private time and to remove the parts Focus does not use. The changed files stay under the Mozilla Public License 2.0. The parts Workify360 wrote itself, such as the sign-in and the sending of activity to your company, are separate files and are not covered by that license.
The app also uses other open-source libraries under their own licenses, most of them MIT or Apache 2.0, for example Tauri.
Get the source code
Section titled “Get the source code”The source code of the modified components of every desktop app version is published next to its installers, at
https://downloads.focus.workify360.com/desktop/<version>/Workify360Focus-<version>-mpl-sources.tar.gz. For version
2.0.0, that is
Workify360Focus-2.0.0-mpl-sources.tar.gz.
The About window shows the address for the version you use, and the dashboard’s Downloads page links it too.
You can also write to support@workify360.com and name the version from Help ▸ About Workify360 Focus. The full license text is at mozilla.org/MPL/2.0, and the upstream ActivityWatch components are at activitywatch.net.
