No data in reports

Work through the questions in order; the first “no” is usually the cause.
Nobody has data
Section titled “Nobody has data”- Has anyone installed the desktop app and signed in? Activity only comes from the desktop app (install the desktop app).
- Is it just a delay? New activity appears a minute or two after the app sends it.
One person has no data
Section titled “One person has no data”- Can you see this person? Reports only include people you can see: managers and team admins see their team and viewer teams, employees only themselves (users and roles).
- Is the app running and signed in on their computer? Ask them to check the Focus menu, then go through data is not syncing.
- Is the right day selected? Days are split at midnight in the person’s own time zone. Someone working at night in another time zone may have their activity on the next or previous day.
- Was it outside the tracking hours, or private time? Neither is sent.
A number looks wrong
Section titled “A number looks wrong”- Productivity % is 0 or low: apps and websites without a rule count as neutral. Mark the apps your company uses as productive (productivity rules).
- Effectiveness % is empty: the day is a day off, leave or a public holiday, or the working hours have no daily minimum.
- Someone is missing from the absent list: only people who used the desktop app in the last 30 days can be absent. Leave and public holidays are handled as described in absences and holidays.
- A day changed after an edit: after offline time is added or approved, time is deleted or leave changes, the day is recalculated; the page shows “Recalculating…” for a short while.
Titles or URLs are missing
Section titled “Titles or URLs are missing”- Titles and URLs are shown only for a single person, for up to 31 days.
- The company may have turned off Record window titles or Record website addresses, and titles older than the retention period are no longer shown (privacy settings).
- URLs are collected on macOS in Chrome (also Chrome Canary and Chromium), Brave and Safari, and on Windows, from desktop app 2.0.6, in Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi, Chromium, Arc and Firefox. On Linux and in other browsers, time counts as the browser app.
- A Windows computer whose app is older than 2.0.6 sends no addresses: the version is in the app’s Help ▸ About Workify360 Focus and, for admins, in Settings → Devices. A few seconds can have no address when the browser was slow to answer.
- From desktop app 2.0.7, the private windows the app recognizes are recorded without the window title or the address, and the app reads no addresses until it has received the company’s settings (right after the first sign-in, or after signing out and in again). Safari private windows on macOS cannot be told apart and keep their title and address (what Focus records).
