You decide when Focus tracks and what it keeps. Set the rules once for the company, then adjust them for a team or a single employee.
Collect Only What You Need
Data minimisation is built into the settings, not left to policy documents. The desktop app applies your rules before anything leaves the employee's computer, and the server applies the window-title and URL settings again when it records activity for reports.
- Tracking hours: activity is sent only within the days and hours you configure. Night shifts that run past midnight are supported, and the app shows employees when they are outside tracking hours.
- Adjustable idle threshold: choose after how many minutes without keyboard or mouse input time counts as idle (1 to 60 minutes, 3 by default).
- Window titles off: turn off window-title capture and reports and activity data show only the application name.
- URL tracking on or off: when it is off, web addresses and domains are left out of reports and activity data.
- Title retention period: set how long window titles are kept in activity data for the company (90 days by default); after that they are removed from activity data. Time totals and app usage stay available.
